Ebner Stolz supports Telemos Capital in the sale of a majority stake in the Sanoptis network

Co­lo­gne, May 16, 2022 - Eb­ner Stolz is sup­por­ting Te­lemos Ca­pi­tal (Te­lemos) in the sale of a ma­jo­rity stake in the San­op­tis net­work to the in­vest­ment hol­ding com­pany Groupe Bru­xel­les Lam­bert (GBL) in the form of ven­dor as­sis­tance.

San­op­tis is a lea­ding net­work of ex­cel­lent and in­de­pen­dent fa­ci­li­ties in the field of oph­thal­mo­logy with over 200 lo­ca­ti­ons in Ger­many and Swit­zer­land.

Since Te­lemos part­ne­red with San­op­tis ma­nage­ment to form the com­pany in 2018, it has be­come a lea­ding pro­vi­der of high-qua­lity and in­no­va­tive oph­thal­mic care in Eu­rope. To­day, the com­pany ope­ra­tes more than 250 fa­ci­li­ties in Ger­many and Swit­zer­land and per­forms more than 1.3 mil­lion con­ser­va­tive and 170,000 sur­gi­cal pro­ce­du­res an­nually. In re­cent years, San­op­tis has be­come a mar­ket lea­der in Ger­many and Swit­zer­land th­rough ac­qui­si­ti­ons and or­ga­nic growth.

GBL is pro­vi­ding up to EUR 750 mil­lion in equity for this tran­sac­tion. As part of the tran­sac­tion, the exis­ting ma­nage­ment will in­crease its stake in the com­pany th­rough a si­gni­fi­cant re­invest­ment. This will en­sure that San­op­tis con­ti­nues to re­ceive the ne­cessary sup­port in the next growth phase in Eu­rope. Clo­sing is ex­pec­ted in the com­ing months.

Eb­ner Stolz sup­por­ted Te­lemos with a mul­ti­di­sci­pli­nary M&A team of au­di­tors, la­wy­ers and tax ad­vi­sors in the form of ven­dor as­sis­tance.
