Capital market-orientated Companies

Companies whose shares are traded on the stock exchange, financial service providers, insurance companies and companies that use an organised market for other securities (e.g. bonds) must take various interests into account: the company must be set up in such a way that its continued existence is secured and the foundations for positive development are laid. At the same time, attention must be paid to the response on the capital market. The reported and distributed profits must meet the expectations of investors; the business model, corporate strategy and vision for the future must convince analysts to rate the company favourably.

To fulfil the interests of all stakeholders and to create a transparent and reliable information situation for their economic decisions, capital market-oriented companies are subject to a higher degree of control by government agencies, in particular by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), and not least by the statutory auditor. The audit of capital market-oriented companies is characterised by the relevance of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and tight reporting deadlines resulting from capital market law or stock exchange-specific requirements. In addition, numerous disclosure obligations must be fulfilled.

The audit teams at RSM Ebner Stolz fulfil these increased requirements. Thanks to our integration into the global RSM network, we can also offer internationally active capital market-oriented groups highly qualified auditing services for their IFRS consolidated financial statements. We pursue our holistic consulting approach also for capital market-oriented companies, in which auditing and consulting - to the extent permitted by law - go hand in hand. This enables us to identify potential for improvement and initiate adjustments at an early stage.
