RSM Ebner Stolz advises Lasertec BV on the sale to the Carlyle-backed Acrotec Group

Ba­ren­drecht, 29 Au­gust 2024 - RSM Eb­ner Stolz has suc­cess­fully ad­vi­sed the Dutch La­ser­tec BV, a spe­cia­li­zed la­ser so­lu­ti­ons pro­vi­der for high-pre­ci­sion in­dus­tries, on the sale to the Swiss-ba­sed Acro­tec Group.

La­ser­tec BV is an es­ta­blis­hed sub­con­trac­tor and de­ve­lop­ment part­ner for blue-chip cu­st­omers from the se­mi­con­duc­tor, Med­Tech and lu­xury watch mar­kets in Eu­rope. In par­ti­cu­lar, the com­pany fo­cus­ses on the pro­duc­tion of high-pre­ci­sion com­pon­ents, that tra­di­tio­nal la­ser pro­ces­sing shops can­not achieve. The achie­ved le­vel of pre­ci­sion is the­reby gua­ran­teed by a pro­prie­tary, self-de­ve­lo­ped tech­no­logy plat­form, ba­sed on an in­di­vi­dua­li­zed de­ve­lop­ment ap­proach. All 40 em­ployees in­clu­ding the re­spec­tive pro­cess and de­ve­lop­ment know-how will be ta­ken over.

The Acro­tec Group is a group of in­de­pen­dent sub­con­trac­tors, of­fe­ring a wide range of ma­nu­fac­tu­ring pro­ces­ses for pre­ci­sion com­pon­ents. With head­quar­ters in Swit­zer­land and a fo­cus on supp­ly­ing “Swiss Made” qua­lity pro­ducts to the watchma­king in­dus­try and other pre­ci­sion in­dus­tries, Acro­tec of­fers a holds deep know-how in pre­ci­sion ma­chi­ning and sup­por­ting pro­ces­ses. The Group cur­rently em­ploys 2,800 peo­ple.

La­ser­tec has re­cently shown an im­pres­sive growth tra­jec­tory ba­sed on a highly scalable and pro­fi­ta­ble busi­ness mo­del and was now loo­king for a new part­ner to scale the busi­ness beyond cur­rent pro­duc­tion ca­pa­bi­li­ties. With the ac­qui­si­tion, Acro­tec Group not only strengt­hens its po­si­tion as a com­po­nent pro­du­cer to se­veral high-pre­ci­sion in­dus­tries, but also fa­ci­li­ta­tes its mar­ket entry into the fast-gro­wing se­mi­con­duc­tor busi­ness.

The par­ties have agreed not to dis­close the fi­nan­cial terms of the tran­sac­tion.
